Hello? 20%/20% on a One-Handed is max.. The PvP 20% is just messed up gear. Ever seen a green wand before?
Omg! A max collector shield! This is almost as bad as when they made collector While Hexed and Stance shields! Prices will drop from 500k to sane prices! People will be able to afford these rather crappy shields!

1. Its not available in PvP creation
2. Yes it is, and there needs to be a collector one.
3. Its not available in PvP creation (And there is no point, there's already a shield that gives +30 always -5 damage shield)
4. Its not available in PvP creation
3/4 of the shield you are talking about are just random drop stats. The +30 -5 20% shiled is not a random drop.
Cybah, I hope you know that flaming every other post in a 4 page thread makes you look like a fanatic. People aren't inclinded to listen fanatical rants over a game.

Mind you, I can't speak any more German than "Volkswagen," but "9 Taktik" looks suspiciously more like "9 Tactics" than "9 Strength" to me.
Personally, I'd take -2 enchanted or -2 stance over -5 20% any day.
Victo's Bulwark is expensive because of: 1) +30 always, 2) skin, 3) strength requirement. Collector's stuff usually ranges from bland to downright ugly, and for some looks > stats. I have 13>50 and 14>50 swords, but I like the skins and I'd rather have those than a 15>50 that's ugly.

Enchantments can be stripped, taking away your 45/2 bonus. Stances can be broken with Wild Blow, taking away your 45/2 bonus. Hexes can be removed or shattered or just end, taking away your 60/3 bonus. These shields are effective condionally upon where you play and what enemies you face. But +30 always is just that, ALWAYS there. In other words, be it farming of PVP'ing, Victo's will always have +30 health which can't be taken away. Losing 45 or 60 health all of a sudden and unexpectedly can doom an unaware warrior.
And as I've said before, skins and requirements. Skull shields are more popular than Aegis', and strength-based is more popular than tactics. If Malinons were a str-based skull shield (or heavens forbed a Summit Warlord shield), it would STILL be commanding 100-150k to this day. The desert 45/2 stance shield has been reduced to 2 Bleached shells, and 2k is in the reach of almost anyone, but I bought a Grognars Defender instead. Same exact stats, but a pretty skin (Little Thom's shield). Everyone has access to cheap / free perfect stat items, but it's vanity, not practicality, which drives the game market.

I doubt that the unbalanced items will remain after this weekend. They just show that the devs have a sense of humor and can tease themselves and the players.

Those are included on purpose, as faction/prophecy counterparts so that prophecy carryover characters can double on some skills. Gaile has mentioned a few times.

To quote myself earlier:
I have absolutely no problem with max mods on collector items. I dont believe that people should have to pay out the rear for something that is generically effective. 20/20 focus? No problem. 20/+1 arrtibute focus? No problem again. 15^50 sword? No problem. +15/-1 wands? No problem.
My problem comes in when you give collectors basically every possible combination of max items. Not just things that are generally useful, but things that are for max tweaked-out builds.
Noone in a pve group is going to kick you because you have collectors instead of some uber-item. People who use collectors dont have issues finding groups and in alot of instances play better than those with the uber items. Thus the skill over grind thing is already fine and Anet has rewarded the casual player enough.
Competitive balance and the like for casual gamers is more geared for the PvP aspect of the game (for the reason that pve people generally dont care about the specific equipment you use so long as it is generally effective), and i really dont see that idea getting blown apart in PvP because of what we currently have. All this serves to do is to mess up what interest is left in the PvE ecnomy.
Just because people want something, doesnt mean they should have it without working for it. I do not advocate selling items for super rich and the like (100k + ecto etc) but that problem will only get worse, the more things are introduced.
The problem really started with the introduction of chests and greens, it blew apart the middle class of the ecnomy. Now all thats left is to take out the upper class and anet can make PvE economy absolutely stagnant (except for the uber-rich that want the uber skins). Way to take away another experience from those that arent uber rich but are not poor leechers either.
I used to enjoy finding good items and selling them for reasonable prices (im not greedy) but with everything thats happened so far in prophecies and looks to be expanding in Factions those days are long long gone.
-Ex0dus
p.s. For those who get mad that we dont like what Anet did in this regard, just leave this thread alone. If your only response is to tell us to leave the game, dont bother posting. We have equal right to make our opinion known as all of the people that are happy with Factions. Anet wants input and thats what were providing, even if our views conflict Anet doesnt want people to leave.

Collecting 5 (insert items here) is just as much "work" as farming the same area over and over in hopes of a weapon drop. They still need to work (or buy) the collected item in order to get their goodie.
Now before anyone says "But they will be buying them at level 1 from other unscrupulous salesmen!!!" that is currently happening with any gold/green/collector item you could desire, as early as Ascalon dist 1.
I cannot fathom why anyone would want there to be less options available from collectors or crafters? If I want a 20%/20% air wand, and had less than 200k gold - what were my options before this introduction? None...
Allowing players regardless of "virtual wealth" to access the same statistical weaponry/focii etc as the hardcore collector of rare and perfect items will not harm the collector at all. In my opinion it only helps to aid the less hardcore gamer in achieving the same statistical level of equipment, it cannot and will not replace the gold item of rare origin/skin that the hardcore masses will be after.
Those that have hundreds or thousands of platinums will still collect non blue items - we all know that even Green items are considered inferior, as they are far more plentiful and available than that perfect gold. So your super high end market will remain and prosper, but the other 90% of the players will now have access to the same statistical (albeit with far more common/ugly skins) items that you do.
Thank goodness they're staying, thanks Anet for listening!

You wouldnt get them until the end if you played the game properly, but just like ascalon is today, the beginning towns of factions will become the same way.

So what if you spent big bucks on the items, we rather get them off collectors if you don't mind

Unless its as hard as (or harder than) shells, I dont think so. All of the other collector items are so plentiful you only need to spend maybe 15 minutes killing things to get all 5 (and thats with a full group of henchies) how much skill does that take? (since skill is suppsoedly the point of the game). Skill takes practice, and spending 15 minutes collecting 5 of some item (if you dont buy it off of a farmer that is) doesnt really get you any practice.
I wouldnt even mind as an alternative that people have to beat the game to get some of these items. Allow access to the masses for actually playing the game (which is what they want) and make them basically unfarmable. Prices wouldnt likely inflate if they knew they just had to play the game for them. Hard core gamers would pay quite a bit for some (because theyre always in a rush), but the casual gamer wouldnt have to care since they already have the current colector items to choose from and be effective.

Sigh. People are spazzing out and overreacting, this is a preview of the game. So indeed time will come when these "uber" items will surely be nerfed and or lowered.

omfg stop whining...
there always been perfect items ingame.. WITH A SUCKY SKIN OFCOURSE!!!
and incase you didnt know people PAY ALOT for a nice skin...
for example: Crystaline Sword's 15^50 10/10 armor penetration +30 hp..
800k???
Short Sword 15^50 10/10 armor penetration +30hp
2k? salvage for mods...
do you get what im saying??
and victos is also a bullshit price... like omost every experienced player farmed uw2... and if they completed it you find greens.. like if i did it 2 times and got victos axe twice and then i sell them and buy bullwarks.. or i even find it myself.. and greens are way more common then golds...
and also think this weekend we play FURTHER ingame... all level 20 all max armor.. lvlv 24 to 28 monsters..
think before you post.
